Gorgeous large book with silver and blue accents featuring a fairy and a butterfly on the cover. Full of stories, poems, and history, as well as beautiful engravings in black and white and a few full page engravings in red.
Very scarce. I found only two for sale on the internet.
Assumed FIRST AND ONLY EDITION published by D.W. Caskey, 1895.
Poor condition. The cloth is torn on the spine. The early part of the book (through page 32) is damaged. The binding has cracked. Some pages are loose and some have been taped in. The front and back endpages, the title page, pages 1-16, and pages 351-352 are missing. Some pages in the middle are also loose. There are a few tears. I have tried to photograph the worst of the damage. The author's name and publishing information listed is based on the information in the other two listings on the internet.
