1. "Lasebok for Folkskolan." Marbled mauve cover with tan-colored leather spine. Published in Stockholm by P.A. Norstedt & Soners. Dated 1899. GORGEOUS ENGRAVINGS! Fictional and historical stories. Cover has scuffing. "Textbook for the elementary school was a textbook used in the Swedish elementary school . [1] ...became the first non-religious book in Sweden, which reached almost everyone." 2. "Rriftliga Bredifningar...Evangelier" by L.C. Betzius. (Script is elaborate, and I may have misread some of the letters.) Published in Stockholm by F. C. Ufterbergs. Dated 1897. Stamped by Augustana Book Concern, Rock Island, Illinois. I would guess this to be a Lutheran Christian book. Black marbled cover with black leather spine. Cover has scuffing.
